    Blah Convincing the olds...

Hey guys, ive been on my L's for about 6 months now, haven't had a lot of on road experience but done quite a bit of round the farm.. at the moment I've got a dual purpose Suzuki 185... Been looking into getting a sportbike, such as RG150 (went for a ride on one the other day ) but am having trouble convincing mum to let me buy it, (says something about it being dangerous... )

Maybe your choice of username might have something to do with mum's concerns?

Yeah, user name would be a big thing

    But to the facts board!...
1, Mountain biking has more ACC claims then motorbike riding,
2, Horse riding has more ACC claims then motorbike riding,
3, If you ride with your brain and sensibly, then motorbike riding can be safer then most other sports

    and, the best one...

4, riding a motorbike is just so much fun!!

funny mentioned getting a radar, response the expected why the hell would you need one of those you shouldn't need one blah blah blah, so ummm dad why do you have one, oh.......

Third party references can be helpful too.

You should try doing what I did... just arrive home one day with your new motorbike.

Once they are over that.. do the same thing.... this time with a borrowed ZX11

Then the same thing again.. this time with your new 600.

They should get over it eventually.

She gave up riding because she crashed face first into the back of a bus?

    I know 'someone' with one...

So that's why the back of a bus is so ugly!
