I've lost track of the post about meeting at Pauatahanui (and can't search because I can't remember how it was spelled ...) - was it 10:30? then Rimutex at 11:30? Which I join at depends on how late I'm running ...

Yep, 10.30 meet at Pauatahanui (copied your effort, not idea either), about 10.45 depart to Rimutex.

I could do with one ,going round the second last left hander on the feathers side if you have time....or any sharp corner for that matter..also need a pic of me doing a wheelie(and landing on my arse)...hey..you could work your money back..lol.

    edit: nice new bike btw!!!

Both the new riders I was coming with now unable to make it so I have decided to pull the plug and do some overdue jobs round home. Might go for a spin later if I get them done. So have a good ride folks - see you next time.

Hey guys - thanks heaps for a great day out. Beautiful weather once again so obviously everyong did a sun dance last night

Awesome to meet some local bikers, huge thanks to Mrs KD for organising - and not laughing at me (much) whn I nearly dropped the bike just outside Pauhatahui

Hawkeye and Ang (sorry Ang, never did find out your KB name) - I lost you on the Rimutakas somewhere, not sure if you were stopping at the top or not. Thanks for the offer of a coffee and sorry I missed out, it would have gone down a treat.

    See ya next time

And what a great day it turned out to be! Well done the KD's. I like it when you arrange the weather and the lunch to be so perfect.

We counted something like 30 people so I wonder how many bikes that was? Not only was our group fairly large, we got overrun by as many HOGs at Rimutex and then when we got to the top of the hill there seemed to be as many other sprots bikes and assorteds up there too ... just one of those great riding days. I don't really remember seeing so many bikes out and about like there were today/ Does that mean we realise there's not that many great warm days left for riding? That would be sad (although it doesn't get lawns mowed or ironing done).

The lunch at the Featherson Pub was great. The dining room awaited us with one great long table laid out with menus, serviettes and real knives and forks - they must have mistaken us for some sophistocated group that knew how to use them.

We then trooped over to Martinborough for another sit-down and natter at the Flying Fish (now called Toppy's). That session came to a quick stop when rain clouds started forming.

Great day's riding, heaps of traffic on the hill coming home. I was especially fond of the gold Subaru that loved me so much it wanted to make a hood ornament of me. {Flattered look}.

Good fun, lets do it again!

Thanks for turning up everyone, 'twas a gorgeous day for a ride with friends old and new!
Thank you so much to everyone who took a newbie under their wing, even if it was only in a small way, it's all appreciated!
Huge thanks to Grub and Nasty for being TEC's and to Nasty for having a loud voice and being good at telling everyone what to do (or is that where to go? lol!) and BB#1 for being cruisey ride leader!
I'm glad everyone said they had a good day riding and meeting fellow bikers, it was also very nice of the Royal Hotel to set us up in the Dining room, what good folks, so don't forget to stop in for lunch again some time!
I officially stand down as "newbie ride organiser" as this was the last one I will be organising and will pass the torch onto the next person (Buckbuck?).
Someone told me they love the rides I organise, well folks, it's not hard when there are awesome people who are more than happy to help you out, so good on you guys!
There is only one more ride I'll be organising in the near future, "Uncle B's Seat Unveiling Ride" will be coming to a car park near you soon (I hope!), but will let you all know about that when the time comes.
    Over and out.

Did you collect any more clothes today?
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Happy to go up the hill one day and take pics of you (and anyone else that is keen) Some examples attached that I took a little while ago. We should set something up on a fine Sunday.
