I've just been outside doing a few last minute adjustments to the bike. I'm bloody glad I've got my thermals on.
    Time to ride

Not long back from Lawrence - saw XKNuts on the way to Central on the custard square, I don't think he noticed me as he was probably in full tightened sphincter mode after getting the big twitch on the same piece of shiny slippery seal that has given me a fright before (about halfway between Waitahuna and Lawrence).
We're still getting a few showers here and theres a cold wind behind it but looks like it will break up a bit later , 8-9 degrees on the way to and from Lawrence.

    Back again!

Numbers way down on normal - probably due to the cold and it being a tad breezy - didn't stop Ghost Bullet from making the journey though.

No doubt somebody will post pics later.

MMMMmmmmm Here we go then, There are some strange people's down in dem there parts, not so much Middlemarch, but the Palmaston pub.

Anyhow I am home, That bloody single lane bridge as you turn off before Hyde and heading toward Macraes Flat. Almost shat meself, thought life was gonna end , only to laugh me head off, that was fun.

Ok will write me thoughts and some pics/video on webshots in a wee biddy.

Side note: me wee boy, nearly 3 yrs old. Came up to me with his Thomas the tank engine(runs by battery)and handed me the engine and said "Its F#%ked daddy" (the battery was flat ) What is the world coming to????

    Just back myself.
A bit of wind to contend with but not as bad as yesterday.

One of the organisers told me last night that there were about 290 folk there.
There are usually about 500 apparently.
That was all good though because it gave one the opportunity to to get into in-depth conversations with others about Very Important Matters without being distracted by the need to catch up with someone else.

There were plenty of VIMs discussed at length last night!
...she took the KT, and left me the Buell to ride....(Blues Brothers)
