can't make it, my backs real sore, signed off on ACC for 3 days and saw the quack today, after having phsyio and accupuncture for the last 3 weeks.

couldn't cope with the pain any more so got myself some morphine, anti inflammatory pills and some anti depressants ( to ease the pain apparently )

the way this is panning out i'll be lucky to make the kiwibiker track day

    have fun ya bastads

Am I the first home? Another brilliant MotoTT trackday. Brilliant weather, large crowd at the start. Only got two sessions before lunch and three after. Must be coming to the end of the season as many left early.... including us. Had a very cold arrival in Taupo at dusk last night, and bitterly cold this morning.

My day was spent setting up my bike. Found that there was a miss inn the engine at high revs under full throttle with the power commander loaded with the arrows slip on map during the first session. FI light came on. Luckily I had brought my laptop and loaded the zero map for the second session to see if it was the power commander that was causing the problem. It was. Session three and I loaded the stock GSX-R600 map and that worked the best of what I had. Must get a custom map done!! Managed to hit 250km/h on the back straight once, in the 240s most of the time, which is a 10km/h improvement on the straight compared to my previous times where I'd only just hit 240k once! Definite power improvement with the mods such that I really need to change into third between turns 5 and 6 and 7 and 8. Did a couple of good laps, but really wasn't in the groove all day.

Highlight was letting Shaun Harris ride my bike in one session. Great to watch and listen to my bike on the track - and of course I had the video camera mounted so I could pick up some riding tips!! Bl**dy video camera didn't work.... millions of dropped frames and black lines all over it. Only got one clear lap which was right at the end.

Cheers MotoTT for another great day.

First ever track day for me and sooooo much fun, can"t wait for a full license and a bigger bike. Awesome day, got to scrape the pegs a fair few times and proudly showed the worn down bits to friends. Looking forward to the next one, for me it was a good learning experinece that will cross over to the road, got a much better idea now how far over the bike can lean and the most limiting factor to the bikes handling is my head not the bike.

To be recomended for all new riders to find out what yu bike can do.

Bummer about the crash at the end of the day, three bikes down and none looking to sharp, fair bit of carnage on the track. Wishing a speedy recovery to the crash guys.

Another first timer on the track here too!

man was that fun!, was lucky enough to get both bikes out there and even have a blast on a friends r6 (which was short lived due to the bad crash at the end of the day) but anyway

my poor lil kwakka really needed a tune but held up till the end of the day till it finally clogged up a sparkplug and the yz just didn't have the legs for the back straight but it ran sweet all day long

anyone know what the heck happened in that big crash? i hear there was a few broken bones?
if it aint broke, dont fix it!

    Thumbs up Woot woot

This was my 4th track day (2nd on the little chainsaw) and it was the best ever for me.

Got shown some lines which worked really well and generally had a ball.

I went down with Idrumm and he did soooooooooooooo well, infact so well he passed me on the last session

The day was just perfect, there was no wind so when I was just mucking around I managed to do a few full length wheelies down the back straight putting it down just before the 100m marker.

    Go the mighty chainsaw

Enjoyed the company of all there and had a good laugh when not on the track.
