Can you just feel the almighty power?!

The main way to check if the powervalves are working is to look at the powervalve control box. A big black box with a pulley wheel with 2 cables going to the powervalve box. On start up the powervalves open and close and you can see this wheel move forward and back. Kinda need either the tank or fairings out of the way though to see it properly...

Another test is to listen to the exhaust on start up. The powervalves change the exhaust tone slightly. It'll be itself straight after the kick, sound a bit deeper breifly, then go back

Woohoo, awesome news you got the RG150. Awesome bike, I've got one like many other KB'er and love it.

I'm sure you'll get plenty of lectures. Parents will always worry, just hope they don't stop you riding. Keep it safe and they'll be happy/ier.

an easy way to check the power valves is a wire tucked in just behind the battery. It has a join (fuse?) unplug it and touch it to the positive terminal on the battery this should activate your powervales. Anyone with an rg care to correct me? or give some more info like the colour of the wire etc

Been looking into getting a sportbike, such as RG150 (went for a ride on one the other day ) but am having trouble convincing mum to let me buy it, (says something about it being dangerous... )
She'll come right; I just hope it's "before one of us dies!" (That's from Basil Fawlty.)

Just keep reminding mum of how good a job she's done of bringing up sensible children.
Suck, suck and then get your mum to. This is just too lame....Tell your mum to fuck off. Go get a super-fast m/c, ride hard, go nuts, what the hell???

Oh, so you don't want to explain. Fair enough...

Although I wasn't sure if you meant respect for power in general and by saying the RG was almighty I was slagging what powerful really means or that by calling the RG powerful I didn't truely know what powerful meant. Really I was being sarcastic as the RG isn't the most powerful bike around, but it's ability to go around corners really well means I can keep up or go quicker than my mate on his 600 (downhill though) so I do have respect for the RG. In fact I hope to keep one of mine even when I get an upgrade (VFR400 hopefully) and the other one I'm in the middle of blinging it up (the matt black frame is looking very nice).

So hopefully I don't have to clean your arse now. Or was that a comment on how RG's sound? When you ring their necks they sound excellent, not like someone loosing control of their bowels (which you seem to have and openly share amoungst us).
