Gosh , waht an intelligent lot we are. Or, maybe, those who are smugly confident of their probable scores are more likely to undertake such a test than those who suspect that their scores might be less gloatworthy.

In which case the entire excercise is rather pointless ?

Not at all.

Even if half the potential audience are scared off, the simple fact of their being scared off is an interesting basis for discussion.

I was very curious to see where the bell curve would be centered.

You'd expect that the same would happen with every one who took the test, so the mean result here could be compared with the mean result on the site.

Where it might fall down isn't people not taking the test so much, but probably more likely they don't want to post their results having seen so many scores in the mid hundreds......

exactly - otherwise referred to as non-response bias - this poll will most definitely not be accurate
