I'm afraid I will have to revise my plans to give my L-plate away to a deserving newbie. A car driver disposed of it for me this morning by running into me from behind. Disposed of my bike while she was at it and gave me some nasty bruises.

    *sigh*

Here's what's left of it. I'm going to put it on a shelf marked "offerings to the gods of speed" Pity I was stationary at the time.

Gutted to hear that. Wishing you a speedy recovery from your injuries, however mild they may be.

Hmm mine half ripped off when I was 'speeding' (which means about 100kms) on the GN. So I ripped the other half off and put it in the rubbish.. maybe I should have been abit more respectful! But then again I am still on a learners licence.

    Hope you are feeling better!

You should have left the other half on... then if a police officer stops and asks you where your L plate is, you can say: "oh, it must have just fallen off" while pointing to the little scrap of it still left attached to your bike.
