    Next bike?

I've been thinking lately about what I might replace the Busa with. This afternoon I took a Phillip Island press release K7 Thou for a ride. It runs about 1,000 rpm higher than the busa in top at 120 & has plenty of
top end (not a lot more than the Busa) but corners were a breeze & brakes were awesome.
Surprising what a lack of weight & wheelbase do.
It lacks the torque of the Busa - very noticable down low (legal speeds). The controls & layout are excellent but the mode button is useless unless on wet grass!
The temperature climbed to over 100C around town but open road it was around 74C.
The Busa wins on torque, touring, pillon comfort and stability.
The Thou wins on handling, brakes, and instrumentation.
The little things - Busa has a clock but lacks the gear indicator. Analogue v Digital speedo. Temp guage is good but Tacho looks busy.
The big things - Weight, torque & practicality verses handling, brakes & instrumentation.
So.... the jury is still out.
Do I buy another Busa & work the suspension over and bling the instrumentation or wait for the B-King release (prob out of budget)?
In the mean time I'm listening to good advice & dribble and will put my bum on whatever is in the ball park to evaluate.

    One suggestion only...

Don't just visit one dealer, visit them all. Who knows but that you might find something to your liking that isn't painted blue and white.

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    I will if I get a chance.
Also looking at V twins as a comparison. Anything from: Moto Morini Corsaro
to VTR to SV or Aprillia etc.

sv is the bike to get if ur on a budget, RSV is the bike to get if you want a twin and you love wheelies.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Seen as you do plenty of long rides I would have thought another Sports tourer would be the way to go . Seen Dave that had the Burgandy Busha here on his Aprilia at Whanga on Saturday & he just loves it . He kept his Busha for a few weeks to make sure he was going to like the Aprilia but said that while on the first ride on it the Busha felt like a Whale & realised how all the Aprilia's road round corners so fast without any effort . Not to sure the postion would be good for ya dodgy back . Maybe try a FZ1 Yamaha like Darcey Mancino ? He raves about it .

Ride everything you can mate Ask other Kb'ers if you could try thiers as well ( you might have to ask REAL nice, but hey )
Its you that will be getting all hot and bothered over the right bike when it comes along, so dont be too swayed in your opinions

PS Remember this is bikes we are talking about- rationality and common sense are not strictly necessary
