If it wasn't for Kiwi Biker...

This was inspired by a post of White Trash's
In 500 words or less, where would you be today if you never joined KB?

If I hadn't joined KB: I wouldn't own my current bike, wouldn't have bought my previous bike, wouldn't live in my current flat, wouldn't have so many people to call good mates, wouldn't know the feeling of having lost two mates, wouldn't be racing, wouldn't be in soooo much debt (questionable), wouldn't have places to stay in most north island cities.
I don't know where I would be today if it wasn't for Kiwibiker, but I do know I have a lot to be thankful for having joined and participated in this forum.

    Positives:
If there's nothing to watch on telly, there's always a great entertainment (and great camaraderie) on KB.

I've got to met some really nice people through contact made on the site (and need to make time for some more rides with them......).

    Negatives:
I'd be a damn sight richer without KB - jeez it sucks up time when I'm supposed to be working...

If it was not for KB I would not have met some of the most important people in my life…
    - My partner Kickaha: My life is entirely different to what is was 2 years ago, and its all due to him. I live in Chch, I have found work outside the field I was in for most of my life… so much good dtuff.
    - Wari: The person I will call a friend for a life time
    - White Trash, Riff Raff, Jim2, OAB, Sels1, Paul in NZ and Loosebruce <== Damn I’m a lucky girl

Re kindled my love for racing through this site…
Learned more about bikes than I ever thought I would.
    Got introduced to side cars…

On the bad side: KB helped me out of a naive balloon I was in most of my life: I have met some of the meanest and nastiest people on here too… never knew people like that existed.. people who don’t give a toss about the affect of their actions/words on others..

So yeah, good and bad! Mainly good tho…

Oh and taught me more about HTML I would of ever known

Right now? I would be outside mowing the lawns or planting trees... less work gets done around the place since I joined the website. It was recommended to me by a chap in highway patrol.... so I finally joined late last year.

Summary: Great website, great people, I hope to meet many of you in due course. Anyone is welcome to pop in for a beer or coffee on the way past too.

Finding a bunch of like-minded people who are passionate about the addiction for which there is no cure.

Meeting a whole bunch of great friends and genuinely nice people.

All manner of advice and ideas.

    And love and disrespect.

    If it was'nt for KB...
I have a garage of tools...KB gave me online tools as well.

But seriously. KB has been great for meeting some really great people on some really well planned & run rides. Yeah for a while online was a real waste of time in that if people treated others in real time like they do on here I'd give them a punch in the face but I gotta say it's got real better lately (been lurking for ages!). Thanks for the laughs & cringes people.

I'd still be riding slowly over the taka's by myself.

If it wasn't for KB I wouldn't have met some nice people and I wouldn't have met some not so nice people.

If it wasnt for kb, id probably be another one of those teenage 'boy racer fags' that we all stereotype so often.

if it wasn't for KB I...

    - wouldn't have a tenth as many mates.
    - wouldn't be anywhere near as good a rider as I am now

and I probably wouldn't think I needed to learn any more.

and I dunno what I would be doing at night...

sidecar bob - you need a wife mate.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
