Just when you thought I couldn't get any dumber

Day and a half into looking after the banks new NC30, I drop it. Kept a bicycle chain around the front as I didn't want my pride and joy stolen by the dicks that took my helmet, forgot about it when I rode off and it got tangled up. Stripped some paint off the front wheel as well as the right side fairings being scratched up. Can't have nice things can I?

Also, it's in the shop getting a tick in the engine ridden of. Fate just making sure my parents were right about buying over the net and making me feel like an ass.

Why do I bloody bother, honestly?

By the way, Hitcha, I can still use my PM's when I get a quote notification. If you want to fully disconnect a sin binners ability to use the PM system I suggest you tick the quote note function to off.

Don't stress - life isn't picking on you personally. We all screw up, we all do dumb shit, we all make mistakes, all day, every day. Go look in a panelbeaters or a wrecking yard and realise that EVERY day lots of people have accidents waaaay worse.

Chin up lad! Lifes a lesson worth learnin'

Perhaps that's because you're no longer in the sin bin and merely serving out your time on diminished priviledges.

Put the chain through the back wheel and over the seat. You won't miss it there.

I did it with a disc lock once, won't do it again.

mate I hear ya, but you need to relax and let it go bro.

Try parking ur bike backwards, so u always have to take the chain off before you leave. I happened to roll the bike chain around my tire, lucky it got stuck and the bike was off

Lucky , bro just remember the joys of motorbike

Add me if you wanna ride with me in west aucks.

Hell, I'm nearly 60 and still cocking things up!!

There is no part of your life free from embarrasing, self-actuated mistakes. Get used to it.
The only proviso is to only make that mistake once. Even then, you just have to rationalise.

dont worry about the ticking noise!
unless it dosnt go away with >5000RPM
its just the cam gears missing a tentioning spring(they brerak after about 40,000kms), to my knowledge most people who race them take the speings off anyway.

It's because I'm getting along with a girl for once, so everything else is falling apart. On the way home from work I fell off the RG again (oil slick on the road, it was dark and I didn't catch a reflection off it)

I'm just ticked off as those fairings were in excellent condition and I had to hurt them so soon

I'll let you know what the click ends up being

    Fair enough, I deserve it

Good idea, however the bike lock has been mashed up so I won't be using it again

    I'll have to get a GSXR750 in the near future don't I?

The noise gets drowned out past 5000rpm but I'm pretty sure it's still there. I'll let the guys at the shop know that tomorrow unless they've already figured that out. That sounds cheap so hopefully that's the problem

Ooo, the RG has plenty of those and race numbers! However the huge plume of smoke rids itself of any cred

I don't remember how it sounded. Did that have a nasty tick?

I'm bloody jealous of your 600. I'm keen to swap if you want

it had a small tick that got worse and worse. was a camchain tensioner in the end so not going to be that on your bike

the 600's are up for sale now, I think. fortunatly, I don't have to worry about that
