    I want to learn to ride. I hope to have someone teach me. But I'll always ride within my road limits on the road. If I get on the track... different story I suspect.

    However, I have come to think that the real skill is in knowing just what your limits are.

    Ah, yes...... as witnessed by the odd broken rib and a dislocation here and there.
    Results in sleeping in the lazyboy for a few weeks cos you can't lie down as I recall

    yep fair call mate........i found mine on the summit road.......woke up 6 days later........really strange as i cant remember anything before after etc but i can remember waking up in ch-ch hospital.......family friends all standing around the room........i sat up and remember this weird feeling.....i looked down and saw this pink shit were my hip should have been......i had broken all these stitches when sitting up......i asked about my bike....cant remember the answer..then went back to sleep for a day and 1/2

    summit rd i hear? thats where i learnt to ride - i used to live up there about halfway between the kiwi and the bellbird - went up and down that road (and dyers pass obviously) every day for years - great road but skinny and plenty of idiots around (and it's a lot worse now than it was back in the early 90's)

    where'd you bin it mate?? if you remember/dont mind me asking?

    A few kms back from the kiwi........dumb shit......passing on the inside.. thattl bring em out.......touched......i hit the rock face and did the cartwheel thing my offsider into the tussock..............
