Something for the biker wine set..

Bottled my first bottle of Syrah yesterday.

Totally hand produced from my small group of vines, right from hand picking to stomping them for hours with my feet!!! Then all the usual time consuming bullshit that goes with making wine. Its looking pretty good.
Of course its a bit fresh at the moment but should be nice by later in the year, but that has'nt stopped me from having the odd glass straight from the vat.
I've been taste comparing it with big name wineries like Sileni and Kemblefield's Syrah which are only within 8km of me so have the same growing conditions and its comparable given the freshness. But hey, what would I know.

Anyway, enough of this faggy wine talk, heres a few pics, and its what I've wanted, a bike themed wine with a pic of my Ducati on the label.
    I call it 'desmodue Syrah'
Perfect for the so called Duc wine/latte set eh......

I only bottled the one yesterday, just to see what it will compare to when I bottle the lot later. Am giving it a bit more time before doing the lot, so probably in about 4-6 weeks time.
And its not a retail wine, its a new venture/hobby for me since we have a small crop of vines on our property.
But I can send you a bottle to try when the time is right no probs.
I would appreciate the feed back, as there are several pissheads here that will giving me the thumbs up or down!

Be more than happy to do some quality assessment for you too mate, full mumbled report given after sufficient testing is performed. lol
Congrats on the bottling and making process, hard work that is, all the best for future crops too.

Yeah, I'd give it a go but I reckon if enough KBers volunteer to 'taste' and critique your wine for you you may not get any yourself.
The worst part is waiting until it's ready huh!

The presentation of your new vintage is great, can't wait to do the taste test....BTW I hope I am not one of the "pissheads" you mentioned.....I'd hate it if people thought of me as something so common

I'll send you a bottle in a few months when its ready for drinking mate.
I thought about having the Triumph on the label, but being wine thought a pommy bike pic was'nt as good as the wog one, with it being wine instead of beer.

Wheres a pic of your new bike too eh?
