    im also thinking this may be the case, a human body travelling at 300kph has an incredible amount of momentum ....

    something like p(rho)=mv
    if m=80kgs and v=83.33m/s (300k/h)
    p=80*83.33
    p=6667 kg.m/s

    now if we assume it takes the body around half a second to come to rest(equilibrium) after it hits the fence ....

    F=ma
    F=m*v/t
    F=p/t
    F=6667/0.5
    F=13.333 kN of force

    or 1333 kgs for those non standard people amoung us.

    so yea, in conclusion i think the fence would break.

    Noooooo! High school science coming back!

    Stop proving the teachers right by applying their teaching to practical situations!

    I've seen a video like this from Thailand, except he hit it at a 45° angle.

    Result:
    Fleshy extremity bits were missing and his head was mashed between the post and the mesh. The body remover guys had to get out the crowbars in order to pry out the helmet fragments and brain pieces - pretty nasty. Needless to say, if anyones planning on testing out any theories I would advise against it...

    Someone posted an image on here (I think) some time ago, allegedly taken by an ER team somewhere in Asia after some poor chappie hit one of those fences at around 100K (?). He wasn't wearing a hemlet at the tme of impact.

    Let's just say the wall on the oppossite side of the fence he hit had a nice new grey pebbledash effect going on.

    So when are you going to try this Steam?

    Will the video be posted posthumously?

    p.s. I don't believe either of your current rides can achieve 300kph though.

    Maybe! I guess it could be construed as a "Minties" moment.

    Well.. What about those barrier things that are just the real thick wire???? I've heard of those doing ALOT of damage... What did they end up calling them..?? Cheese cutters or something along the line.. (not sure)

    Someone could always try it, and let us know what happens...
