Yep. went over the track and out towards the main road. Found some dodgey guy on a GSR600 going the wrong way.

Actually, Dogsnbikes showed up at my place at 1030 this morning so we headed down to the mobil and met up with 86gsxr, sarahtvet (pillion), Yod + wife (pillion).

Meanie showed up in his CAR for a chat. Headed away about 11am to find the track was dry and grippy. Nice. Set some pace over the hill. Award goes to the honda for nothing falling off it on the track and the smiles coming from sarahtvet were evident that her ride over the hill was not a leisurely pace.

Calmed down a bit out on the main road to find blacksheep going the other way. He turned round and joined the forces.

Met Ronin in Masterton and stopped for smoko and then carried on down to carterton to meet up with the solicltice ride. Quite a few bikes around so talked to a few people, ate a doughnut and when we got back to the bikes found someone had put lollipops on the bikes. Nice touch.

being as I was surposed to be there to watch Ronins riding I followed him out to alfredton and dont think he needs much in the way of mentoring. Held a fairly good pace with a good eye on the road surface. All is good.

Made it back to e-tuna and said goodbye to wellington and co and headed back the way we came.

All was going great till we decided to come back through Balance and the balance striaght had a nasty crest in the road. I hit it at pace and the front flicked up on me quite rapidly. Usually this doesnt bother me that much but it happened to catch me by surprise and I landed crooked into a tank slapper. Not good. Got it under control but managed to twist my wrist the wrong way. Hurt lots. Stopped and had a moan and then carried on over the saddle road to regain a bit of confidence.

All in all, good day out..........

    yep...yet another quality ride

the missus is officially addicted and has told me in no uncertain terms I MUST get a new bike...what a bummer

The lil viffer was gagging for a few (a lot!) more horses trying (and failing dismally) to keep up with the kwaka and the trumpies up the track 2 up....was thankful i had a pillion in some of those crosswinds on the main road (thanks babe)

once mrs yod had got used to the bike I "released the beast" up the saddle road....we were fair honking through the upward twisties but again, desperate for a few extra horses, (and a more substantial suspension system at the rear!)

nice to meet a few new faces too

looks like everyone had a great ride .. pretty good weather considering what has been around the last few days

Hopefully it will not take to long to source a throttle cable for the RZ so she will be back on the road

Horses finally arrived home today, & got the much needed jobs done so day was not wasted LOL .. but sure would have preferred to be out on the bike ... next time

yes. Always feels like there is a hole in the group without the thundering (or was that smoking) CX and the meanstreak in the mix.

Next time you might want to follow me though... I have this thing about cornering... well, learning my lines... and riding behind Ronin hasnt helped all that much.. hes usually too far ahead of me.
