    Hmmm... that's a point.
If these "3 tramps/easy lays" have been feeding their dog bits of motorcyclist, maybe offering it a fresh gift-wrapped leg wouldn't be a good idea...
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

With enough peanut butter on your boot, you'd get a laugh out of it though...

I'm gonna make some peanut-butter trousers... Come and get me dogs

It's just a dog. Don't be cruel to it, but don't behave as though it's a misbehaving human child, either.
Why punish/destroy a dumb animal because of it's even dumber owner.

    You suck arse.

It never ceases to amaze me that so many people see the solution to an animal problem is to KILL it.

Humans are the problem. We encroach on animals natural habitats, we domesticate animals and then don't take proper care of them. Leave the bloody animals alone.

thats an idea, BD. i wish the dogs no harm. the skinny one appears to be fine, just underfed. its the big one that worries me. i would like to see that one removed from the "owners" and brought back to being a good dog. its not the dogs fault that the owners are wankers.

i still havent heard from the rangers... mum thinks take it to the papers next. maybe i should have said i thought it was a pitty? the lays and the skinny dog were there again when i got home, but no sign of the big one. when i went back to shut the gate, they had all gone inside.

might have to start wearing my steel caps to work, just in case i do manage to somehow aim at it.

    Ring the authorities!!!!!!!

This is a no-brainer, I would not hesitate if I had the dog rushes out to bite me thing..........

I once worked for a sparky who had a Blue Heeler.......he warned me she was sharp, once I had been there (I worked from his home office) she would know me and that would be ok.....and it was......she never got off her bed to say hello most days, until I arrived on my bike......, I kicked her HARD!!!!!!!! as she was intent in biting my leg off! Bugger that for a game of soldiers.

If the dog is removed it will most probably go to the SPCA and get euthanised when they can't find a new home.

yeh, mom, i figured the cops have got better things to do than chase up something the dog rangers should be doing. useless tossers. if it happens again, ill be ringing them, though. dog rangers have had their chance to fix this.

they were quick to jump when one of our dogs got accused of attacking an old woman... but our dogs are behind 2 meter high gates and are too lazy to jump, never mind jump and not get spiked!

barnett... still better than said dog attacking a kid and still getting killed. at least if its removed while "innocent" itll have a chance at rehab.

I see your point, however, unfortunately there are many owners that unwillingly don't have the ability to control there dogs. Also....dogs react on instinct alone. They do not 'reason" as we humans can. I see it nearly everyday. Dogs we put down because they have bitten an owner or family member because they havn't been handled correctly. You'd be horrified by the amount of (dare I say it but it's fact) Pitt Bull owners that will NOT hold their own dog for an examination in fear that their own dog will attack them. These dogs which are not under control are dangerous to everybody. Just last week I helped euthanase a dog because it tryed to attack the owners wife. While the owner tried to fend off his own dog it attacked and bit him, then continued on to attack and severely bite the wife. Saying it's no fault of the dog is not always right, they are a preditor animal inwhich we as humans try to 'humanify'. Any dog which shows dominant vicious behavoiur is only working off instinct. Something that we humans can never take away, but try to control, when this control is out of hand, in my mind their is only one option....Humane destruction.

As does anyone else advocating injuring the dog.

A dog is only as clever as it's owner and the way it has been trained.

So leave the effing dog alone and go to the source of the problem...the effing owner.
    Agreed...

*would never intentionally hurt the dog*

But... On another note when in mums car, I will NOT put myself at risk by swerving to miss it..

Good on you for being honest about this.

An aquaintance has a pitty for "protection" and gets furious when you make any remarks about pit bulls and temperments. However, she can barely control the poor thing ie, basic things like getting the bitch to lie down quietly when visitors come, or heel off the lead on the beach.

I'm still undecided about the "can't be trusted" tag though, rather maybe they are a breed that requires a highly experienced dog trainer for an owner?

Just as you wouldn't put a learner rider on an open eventer or racehorse - or even let them handle it. Would be tears and injuries all round.

Good intentions only go so far. You need the handling experience for highly strung horses and dogs, IMHO.

run it over and eat it for dinner! marinate it in soya sauce and garlic and apply kiwifruit on top as it makes it more tender, cook it in a stir fry with a combination of vegys and rice and cook it in bbq sauce... tasty

So true! Ive met some absolutely beautiful natured Pitt Bulls, love ya to death they would. Ive even owned one myself. However......in the wrong hands and incorrectely trained they can be as lethal as a loaded shotgun in the hands of a two year old. Because on the other hand....Ive seen a 7 year old girl with approx 70 stitches in her face and arm after her dads dog attacked her. No child deserves to be put through that for the sake of a pet.....a pet is meant to be a pleasure, not pain.
