I guess you were answering T-Thunder 13 here?

and really not wanting to sound like a pain, but punctuation would really make it easier to understand your post pretty please...

Its not a trick question. Do not read anything into it.
The answer is front for both. It is the most powerful and most effective BRAKE.

As Big Dog hinted towards, BOTH brakes stop the bike most effectively.

Make sure you read the questions carefully and you'll be fine.

The answer to both the questions is the front...they have just worded them different to catch you off guard. Good luck tomorrow, just take your time and read the questions thoroughly and you will be fine.

90% front 10% rear. Most effective braking is both together with about the same ratio.

Actually my opinion is based on there is no way of knowing which is the more powerful brake without knowing the bike you are riding and its state of mechanical readiness.
The most powerful way to reduce speed is to apply both, and the most effective.
"Which brake is the MOST POWERFUL on a motorcycle?????"
Not really a valid question but any time there is a choice of both that is the most powerful and effective.

For a start power is nothing without control. This is why scooters wear less powerful brakes that motogp bikes. too much power makes them less effective, but I digress.
Either way don't stress about it.
It is just one question. Scarily enough they let you get 5 wrong.
If Devil is right you can answer the way they want, if I am right you can answer correctly.

    Cheers

in regards to your test tomorrow, don't sweat it, you'll be fine. Take a deep breath before each question, take your time and make sure you understand the context of the question.

I passed mine 8 months ago, and there really is only a couple of tricky ones...and I am pretty sure the answer is as Devil & Stickchick put it.

You can put me over your knee any time....
I have never said I am always right.
I will not back away from the truth, in light of popular opinion I concede it is possible that the LTSA have dispensed with the truth in an effort to lower the number of people who score 100% in the tests.

Please note: Both should not be a choice if it is not a valid one.

well thank you all for your opinion, i value all of it even putting both feet down on the ground haha,

however i'm a statistical guy and stats would tell me the correct answer is front and front to the two questions. my poll is show way of front being the correct answer (even tho i've had minimal votes so far).

But wish me luck, and like you said i can get 5 questions wrong so i have abit of give with the whole thing

    thanks guys n gals
