    Well blimey, I never knew they were edible - I've been munching the new leaf buds (colloquially known as "bread and cheese" because that's what they taste like) since I was a nipper...I didn't even know whitethorn had made it out here.

    Anyone know if Blackthorn (sloes) made it too?
