it will be cool!Life is about these little challenges.I once went to a car club track day at Taupo. It was on Saturday and Sunday morning.I left home about 3 am to get to Taupo by 8 am.Everybody seemed to think it was unusual. Not me I was fine all day,and one of the last to bed sat night.Something different and new keeps us sane....we all know that though eh!

Well I(we) just figured if we're paying for accomodation Thursday night then we ought to get a ride in on Thursday too, make it worth paying for somewhere to crash as Joe has the day off anyway and I have the day free too thx to the recession! As i'm skint I need to feel I'm getting my monies worth LOL! We's goin explorin on Thursday - Joe showed me the tracks on Google earth today - looks fun!

    Cheers, Dave

If you want an option that doesnt incurr accomodation costs why not end your ride at my place ? Plenty of gravel roads out here.
I would recomend filling the day with Mt Altimarloch ,Mt Patriarch , Onamalutu ,French Pass.
Mmm might even join you if Im not up to anything else .

I was gonna suggest you could stay here in Richmond on Thursday night too but Underground has a way better driveway than me. You are still welcome though, got heaps of room and wifeys away.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

similar offer to Underground - I'm here in Blenheim so crash out at my place for the morning if yis want a bit of shuteye and l might even skive off work to come riding with ya if you want to go for a looksee while you wait for the other lads. We could do a couple hundy km. Probably recommend Mt Pat and Onamalutu as the best option - or we go out Port Underwood / Tory channel way - or both!
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

I think Joe's cunning plan is brekky followed by headin north out towards the Sounds on the headlands on Kenepuru Rd and/or French Pass Rd if either is worth doin and he also mentioned Underwood rd to the south! Its all virgin territory for me down there so I'm goin with the flow - whatever we do will be great fun for me I'm sure! Open to suggestions AND company tho Matt!!!!! I think we are just planning a cruisy day tho, no mega challenging cnut hill type tracks!

    Cheers, Dave

Just thought I'd stick my head up above the parapet... as much as I'd love to join in for all 3-4 days of this, can't be done with a little one to look after. So I'm aiming to spend at least one day riding, maybe stay overnight one night. Be rude not to!
    Cheers,
    Colin

Well it will be great to meet you, even if only for a one day ride! Am hoping on one day or another we get to meet alot of you guys; well those of us that haven't met you all yet! I'm certainly lookin forward to that aspect of the trip!

The major problem I foresee is that I won't want to leave! I totally fell in love with the SI when we came here on reccie before emigrating from UK - it was the now ex-Mrs Paladin who talked me into Welly, I wanted to live in the Nelson-Motueka area!
    Cheers, Dave
