    cb125t help needed

    Hi,
I've finally got back to my bucket project, started putting her back together and cocked up .
I've re fitted the clutch cable and it seems to have very limited movement in the clutch lever(lower)which I cant adjust out
It looks like the cable position's wrong at the lower end although I cant see how.
Could someone post a photo of the lower cable /leaver assy on their CB so I can see where I've gone wrong .
I'll take a photo of mine tomorrow if I have chance .
    cheers

shit I cant remember, post a pic and it might come back to me, IIRC you do have to readjust at the clutch end as a starter.

G'day, here's a scan of the pages that reference the clutch from my Haynes manual. The manual is for sale if anybody wants it. PM me a decent offer. Cheers

Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

What model is it? Is it a twin shock or mono? Easiest way to tell (if you don't know what monoshock and twinshock are) is the engine is black on a monoshock and silver on twinshock.

Its a twin shock -and the clutch has seized -I'm not sure why as it was fine about two months ago when I had to put the bike aside

they just dont seize, check the cable and all linkages for free easy movement... ok failing that check the clutch in installed corectly and that nothing is stuck between the plates.
CBs have duel clutch springs make sure the are not brokren and move freeley.

No, but on some bikes they will stick together if left sitting, crash start it and give it a thrashing and see if it comes good.

That’s right, gummy oil sticks the clutch plates together. Crash start and ride it around in first/second while holding the clutch in, give it the berries and eventually the plates will unstick. Or pull the cover off, pull the clutch in, hold it in and gently prise the plates apart with a screw driver.
