i would not reccomened buying a second hand helmet at all, helmets are designed to take one big hit and thats it,
also you should try the brand of helmet you are buying on before you commit to one, between brands they vary alot, a ill fitting helmet can be dangerous as well,
What Scott said, you don't know if a 2nd hand one has been in a crash.
After reading an article.. http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/ge...iew/index.html
I won't buy a Snell standards helmet as they can transfer too much force.
ECE or Dot only standards ftw
Suzuki forgot to charge me for my helmet when I was buying all my gear...![]()

Helemts are heaps cheaper even when you take shipping into account.
I didn't realise until I had swiped my card and the guy's face dropped and I was like "what, did it decline" and he's like 'nah no worries' and I was like "what" and he was like "oohhhhh forgot to charge you for your helmet" and I was like "oh" and he was like "oh well, too bad" and i said "yeah well i did just spend like over $4000 here" and he was like "true" .... Free helmet.![]()
