think we need to start two versions of this tag thingy, one for you dirty people who ride on gravel and one for clean people who ride on seal.
o hell im waiting for the shit to fly now.....
Go on, get dirty, we know you want to..........
Good thing about us ADV'ers is we can swing both ways![]()
Was going to get it yesterday afternoon but I thought I'd give someone else a chance.
It'll be a couple of days before I get time to go up there now![]()
Well I can't get it during the day, unless I get a babysitter...![]()
Cheers,
Colin

Too many excuses, my dear adventure wuss'es, just HTFU, tell the boss, ya mum, ya missus that you're just popping down the road to get the milk, and return an hour later.....Like I did....
Well, I did wait till 3pm, it was a bit chilly this morn and I had the hoovering to do first! I thought the frost would be well gone by this afternoon, but the Maitai valley, true to form, had bloody permafrost everywhere, real slippery even on the hardpacked gravel, let alone frozen clay. The DRZ was squirming around more than the cat when ya stand on it's tail, I had one brown undies moment at the bottom of the caretakers cottage hill just before the creek, the bike drifted sideways big time on the ice. No dropsies tho.... Unlike the boy racer who'd just rolled his crappy Nissan after driftin everywhere up the Maitai gravel, he'd lost it on the seal by the river. Shame he didn't put it into the creek and put it out of it's misery.
Anyways, here ya go, tagged again, and will post new pic up tomorrow. Anything else in the Maitai would just be too easy. The frost photos are just for your viewing pleasure

Wasn't that white when I went up on Monday, but some of the muddy bits and water courses on the track had ice on thembut thats O.K. the ct feels vague all the time
Ummm, it IS the Adventure/Dual Purpose forum. You wanna stick to the seal, this is the wrong audience for sympathy.
Cheers,
Colin

Probably best to get out there on a weekend due being a forestry area, worth the ride tho, just fantastic up there. Have fun boys.
