It was the wildest race I have ever been to.

That's Miss Italia 2007 in the pits.

I was at the Flag Marshall station on the last turn when the crowd came through the fence. Rossi had to go on the grass on his slow down lap to avoid them. During the presentation, there must have been 20,000 people on the start finish line (including an LC4 and a ZZR1000 doing burnouts on the line).

Pete Clifford invited us to the Red Bull shindig afterward - I have never seen so many silicon titties together in one place..
Love to go to Mugello...but I was at Laguna in '07'...and Mugello would be doing well to outdo the silicon titties I saw there. Gotta love California for titties!

Yay....go stoner that little champ! Pretty interesting race with the lead changing all the time

Melandri seems to be a demon in the wet!

Wonder what will come of incident with Simoncelli and Bautista?? Its a dam shame because Bautista was cranking!!! Making up 7 seconds in 4 laps!
    Good on Pasini though

There's something altogether unpleasant about an Australian winning anything. I don't know what it is. It's just an Australian thing.

That's damning with faint praise? He won three GPs in 2006 on a satellite Honda and only the Phillip Island race was wet. He was on the podium on four other occasions that season. Sorry, I can't be bothered checking the weather for those...

US$5,000 fine to young Mr Simoncelli

True, also, Melandri came 2nd in 05, in front of Gibenau, Capirossi, Pedrosa, Hayden etc etc. But in al fairness, he was shite last year!

He was shite last year? Gee what championship are you watching? Maybe something to do with the bike he was riding?

More like his inability to ride it. No one but Stoners seems to really be able to ride it to its potential.

It is so great to see Melandri doing so well. Even with a bike that is having no development over the season.

I was interested to see how this year's class would do. Hayden was quoted as saying that he'd know within minutes of climbing on the bike whether he'd be competitive or not.

There was also a quote from Davide Brivio (sp?) to the effect that Hayden had the required courage because the telemetry showed he was still holding the throttle open when the antics of the bike indicated that shutting off might be a safer option.

Kalio going to Ducati was surprising to me but then I read that he has spent time ice racing. Still...

Stoner can ride the Ducati but so far it seems to be a real career graveyard for anybody else.

Yes, that's pretty well summed up Stoner's team mates and the satellite Ducati rider's career direction on the Ducati - cept hasn't Melandri risen from the dead - in a big way.

Team employers will be keeping his name and contact details in their diaries......... That is - Non-Ducati Team employers..............

    A good summary of Mugello:

Like Bautista' s quote: 'Simoncelli's ambition outweighs his ability.'

He would have been in trouble if the race had gone another 3 or 4 laps, than again so would have Rossi too.

    Where are these "Stoner knockers".

Just because someone disagrees with your pre-season ejaculation about him, hardly makes them Stoner knockers.

Perhaps it just makes them Crasherfromwayback knockers...
