    gas gas ec 125

    Hey everyone,

I posted a while ago about getting into dirt riding/enduro/mx. I've been reading and looking around for a while and have come across what I think is a good deal but want your opinions.

My friend just upgraded his bike so he could race comptetively and is selling his gas gas ec 125. He will sell it to me for 3k and it is the 07 model I believe. He looks after his bike well but it has been well ridden too, every weekend since ownership.

What sort of opinions do you guys have on this bike.

    Cheers

    Drider

Send a PM to noobi, he knows his stuff about GG's. Infact, he owns an EC125 ;D

$3000 sounds like a good deal to me, they're great enduro bikes. Id go for it =)

I've ridden Noobi's gasgas and it's a really nice bike to ride. Don't know if it's stock or if he's done something to it but it handles really well and is very responsive. I feel more confident riding his gasgas than my KX on the trails for sure.

Had a look at the bike, it lookes good. It has been used well but what enduro bike hasnt. Has has had a rebuild, will need to have all oils and fluids changed, levers will need to be replaced, nothing wrong with the ones on there, just that they have been patched back up lol...or use them till they break again. The kick start lever is worn..will need rubber on it or whatever. Usual stuff is worn like grips. Expansion chamber is in good nick, it has had a few dings blown out, would probably get a protector for it.

Rear wheel bearings are a little worn but mate has the kits for the bearings, couldnt really tell much about the other bearings and bushes. Small leak in the radiator from an enduro, says he is going to fix that...how much would it cost me to get it fixed?

He wants to give it a final look over so anyone keen to come have a look with me next week sometime? Whoever it is shall be rewarded with a six pack of beer as I would love to get a ec riders opinion.

It comes with spare rear disk, spare plastics, bearing kits, old clutch plates *has new ones in it*.

Sounds like it's done a few hours by what you say. When did he do the top end, guess you'd price that into it.

I think it has done ten hours since the top end was last done, but I will check.

What are parts like for gas gas?

genuine gg parts are about the same price as other brands, but theres sfa aftermarket parts available. theres some in aus, but no stockists in NZ that i know of? allballs make bearing and seals kits, not as good as oem marzocchi and ohlins tho. dont use moose seals, their rubbish
