Wellington motorcycle blitz

Hi guys

Just a friendly warning cops are out at the moment pulling up every biker they see at the moment, 2 of my workmates got pulled up after work yesterday and I got waved down to pull over

but I "didnt see him"

Both got told that at the moment in wellington they are targeting bikers because lots are riding with no wof/reg or no liscence.

I think that with the price of oil due to rise again (predicted $85 US a barrell) we will see more peeps turning away from cages to bikes.
So the cops will have to target bikes as it could be easy money to fund their revenue (slash fund).
Don't think it will be limited to just Welly

Went for a ride up the takas yesterday and got followed from Te Marua to the Kaitoke gardens. He didn't pull me up though, I just casually sat on about 100 (til he stopped and turned around

) then passed several coppers on my way home including a bike cop. They're out doing their jobs..... just hope they pick up some of the wanky driving out there too!

Sunny sunday up here a couple of weeks ago on SH16. Gently rolling into Kaukapakapa i see a bunch of patrol cars in the middle of the road, and a couple of bikes parked to the side.

My first thought was that someone on a bike had been collected and my heart sank.

Turns out 'twas a similar blitz to this. Looking at WOF, Rego, and licences.
So yeah, they is out and about.

They're also pulling up bicyclists and scooters! Regularly on the airport side of Mt Vic tunnel...

Was out for a tutu on wed, pulled up next to a bike cop at the lights heading up to the police college and had a quick chat, then got tangled in a warrant check a bit further up with a good ten cops doin the full blitz and one just told me to carry on (after i told him i'd have to pull off the road for him to check mine)
