Nice work, desiderata on KB, a HUGE coup, well done that man.

That poem has many relevances to this thread in my opinion, we have all been newbies and we have all had an opinion, my fat self included.

Yes, When I announced to the world that I was giving up heavyweight pole dancing and getting into biking, there were raised eyebrows all around, and no end of advice from people who now, I find, really knew not what they were talking about.

So perception of many bike related things came from uneducated or ignorant sources, and if you get enough of those in front of you, an opinion forms and you feel it is your right to spout it, which in fact it is in our fantastic free world.

One of the best lines in movie history did come from one of the worst movies in history (GI Jane, although Demi does have exceptional knockolades, eh gringo)...the line being:

"If I want your opinion, I'll give it to you"

So let all have an opinion and let it be thrown out there for the rest of us to disect and analyse. Maha, you have hit the nail fair and square on the cranium matey, good onya.

Did that sound ok, felt as though I rushed it......

Considering this thread is one massive contradiction in terms, it's getting alot of attention. I guess the answer is that people like drama. Especially riders in winter.

    Cool Drama!

No one will admit to liking drama, they just thrive on it ... give you something to disagree with people about ....

And the more drama, the more need to disagree, and the longer more laughable posts you will find in your forums!! Lol

It's much the same way that the meatheads on here think that smacking off wing mirrors and booting in car doors will improve the lot of motorcyclists as a whole.

It's much the same way that the meatheads on here mis quote you and tell you how to ride, how to behave as if that will improve the lot of motorcyclists as a whole.

So what is it that makes people feel the need to do that? Do some people here feel the need to speak out for certain things so that they fit in more?
Who gives a fuck mate. Just worry about yourself.

    If you say so.

For the record, I believe I have only ever advocated looking at ways and means to ensure your own safety (and hopefully, in consequence, the safety of motorcyclists in general).

If that upsets you, stiff fuckin' shit.

I'm not especially a fan of people whinging for the sake of it, but if that's how they need to express themselves than who am I to judge..

I live with a couple of nerdlingers who whinge about the shit coffee at work and how the air conditioning is 1 deg too hot etc etc, deal with it eh, ignore it, don't whinge more.. Its a vicious cycle..

    Cool

...as the sound of their whinging infiltrated his senses and grew louder, starting to affect his ability to concentrate on the details of his masterplan and his hand streatched out towards the red button displaying the engraved "Press only if they really start to piss you off", he knew it had to be done...

May the bridges I burn light the way.
