    My Advice = Do it!

It easy as, cheap and lots of fun. Dont worry about making a fool of yourself, I havn't met a dickhead bucket racer yet so the company is pretty sweet.

Where abouts in NZ are you?

EDIT: Ahh, I see.. South island... all I know about that is that the Battle of the Buckets is awesome. someone from the colder island will probably be along with local advice soon...

If you are going to be worried about what other people think your going to make a point of doing nothing all your life.

Just get out tere and give it a go! The fun is in giving it a go. Don't worry about how far you can lean over, how fast your bike is, etc.

If your riding 07 zx6 you may find the buckets 2 slow.
If you do go bucket then fxr150 etc or you just going to get left behind.

Thats fine, your location description of "my shoes" doesnt give me a hell of a lot to go on when trying to determine your geographic location

We are racing this weekend. Come down and have a look round

If you start on somthing like a CBR125 or FXR 150 or similar it should take ages of race experiance untill you are even able to push such a bike to its limits.

Not knocking it ,in fact searching for one myself.
Maybe a h100s for me.Not sure yet though.
Notice i had bob each way with fxr150 but would suggest that a quick ride on a club members bike might be good idea before dipping in with a thousand dollar fxr and finding its not his thing.

Fawwwk !@#$%^%^%$#@$%^&* I'v been trying for 40+ years and still can't ride me bike or get me knee down, what keeps me coming back is the fun trying and the great people who ride/build buckets. Looking forward to seeing you out there.

    True, fair call too.
Come on along to the funday at the slipway. (I havn't been to the last two so don't know if you have been along yet.)
Say hi and let people know you are after a bucket and ask lots of questions.
Alot of buckets are sold by word of mouth.

H100 is a great bike, needs quite a bit of modification to beat FXRs and the like but there is alot of knowledge about on how to make them go better.
Even standard you will be in great battles amongst a bunch of B-graders.
The FXR etc is plug and play and as far asvalue for money goes pretty much unbeatable.
