This is what i'm hoping!! I thought the GSX would be the same as the GSF is based on it, but it might be one of those annoying things that the GSX used a different charging system, in which case their flywheel wont have magnets But that is what I need to find out, does the GSX use the same flywheels as the GSF, anyone shed any light??

im not sure but maybe you mean the gsxr 250? i think the gsx is a twin? so may be different. investigate further as im not entirely sure.

Depends. Usually the GSX is a twin, but in the case of the Katana and Across - they are 4s.
The GSF is a 4 that uses engine model GJ74A. The early 90s Katana (SSN?) is also a 4, but engine is GJ76A

No, I don't. Been googling without success. I do know that the casings are similar/same...McDuck replaced left side on his old Kat with one from a Bandit afaik.
