First/best bike memory: First - riding a 50CC minibike at a friends farm aged about 8 or 9. I had no idea how to change gear and just gave it death in first. I knew immediately that bikes were going to be part of my life. Best - too many to isolate just one so a couple. Riding from Wellington to Whangarei in 5 hours and 52 minutes including falling asleep in the grass outside KFC Orewa for about 20 minutes. The 750cc Katana rocked that day. Several years later in a bar where things were getting very tight having 4 of my mates stand with me while a dozen or so wooly headed yobbos with various implements of destruction decided to teach a lesson about mana. They learned one about brotherhood instead

It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.
