Wonder where straight ahead boy ended up?

Didn't look too good for him.

Fairly good advertisement for NOT doing a track day if you ask me

If we start posting some car vs bike vids will you stop riding on the road? Pffft come on people.

I've done 7 trackdays and that sort of shit is the exception. Only once have I seen anything I'd consider dodgy. Compared to group rides and dealing with cages it's heaven!

That's why you start in group 4 and follow the lines riders. It's nowhere near as scary as you'd imagine.

IMO, the only thing that was dodgy in that was the near miss at the end. And I think it'd take some considerable stupidity/inexperience or major mental lapse to do something like that - not something that happens often (especially at track days with the "no passing on the inside into corners rule").

The fallen bike and the small tail wiggles the other riders had are just part of trackdays and learning you and your bike's limits.

Not many skills being shown in that whole clip. Think they need to learn to go fast on slow bikes before they try to go slow on fast bikes.

I think in a NZ trackday that wouldnt happen. Shitforbrains clearly had no idea being out in that group. Plus if that was me that the guy nearly took out he would get a punch in the goddamn face even if I had to climb on a stepladder to do it.

dont let it put you off trackdays. they are very well organised in NZ and esp for newbs, are very tightly controlled.

I sent that vid to a guy I know who is a UK biker whose response was along the lines of UK trackdays being full of racer wannabes. Plus they are majorly expensive.

    Wow that was close

Yes that worries me about trackdays with lots of newbies about, that can go fast but cannot stop.
I had some (idiot) on a gutless silver Triumph almost take me out at Taupo a few years back, he was going to fast for the corner to try and make up time, almost took out my back wheel, my bike had only done 1500km at that stage , f..k I would have been one sour dude had he made contact..
