To me i know my limits and a stick within them...

but if a car driver sees me riding at a pace i consider completely safe they think im a fucking lunatic.

I think i'm right, but know i'm wrong

As people have already answered, it is all relative. I might not always be safe but I do try to be so I ticked yes. Learning how to stop correctly and to learn as much about the hazards of motorbiking and wearing the right gear, all go a long way to helping make you safe. Knowing what is safe(er) only helps you make a better judgment of what you can or can't do, rather than going in blind to something.
I may be slow at getting things but..... no wait I'm just slow.

I don,t believe you are ever safe out on the roads. All you can do is minimise the risks.

If Larry Laffer is to be believed, you don't want to wait more than a couple of screens before you take it off.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Further discussions after tonights Def. Driving session...

Do you think, as technology improves i.e ABS and traction control etc, that you become a safer rider?

For example, if you know that you have ABS or traction control, would you take a corner faster than you might perhaps have without the technology...thereby increasing the potential risks???
