:slap: Jinkies! Talk about your boy's own adventures! Good to hear that the biker gods smiled on you somewhat, before sod and murphy joined in!

Ahh what would boys do without their mums? At least you are warm, got some full bellies and a plethora of awesome memories to jot down in your life history!

    That'll do lads, that'll do ...

    Outstanding.

Do you have any idea how many of us around the country (world?) were waiting on the edge of our seats for the explanation?

So new tube and progress from Tauranga today?

After spending yesterday fixing the failing Honda, we're heading for Coromandel town this morning.

As soon as we've demolished this packet of bacon.

Day 8: Brown Fury takes a day off to see Dr Andrew (and assitant nurse Jafa)

Today we thought we'd take a day off to give Brown Fury a checkup and get the tube repaired. We began by removing the wheel and giving the rim a dry scrub before taking it into a shop. The brakes are all good after a wipe with a rag and adjustment, chain is a fair bit slack and has a tight spot, and overall there isn't actually anything wrong with this fine bit of honda engineering, so we set off for the shop.

We visit Bayride motorcycles and bump into DMNTD who tries to sell us on the new R1, the first of which I've seen in the flesh. It's a bit 'meh', but sounds good with two bros. pipes and looks good in white/grey with anodised red chassis. A coffee later and the tube is done and we grab another spare plug too. We're back 10 minutes later for chain lube and transmission oil.

Back in the garage we drain the gearbox. It's got pretty good oil. Owell. The plug is a bit crappy from us not thrashing it so new plug goes in. Wheel back on, chain tension and done.

    Well, that was easy....

Then comes a call from squiggles - him and danae have come to visit us! We watch sunday's taped motoGP and finally get jafa's phone working. He has a lot of txts....

Not much else to say really. See you guys friday I guess...
