Mostly gravel sized coins, I've tried to be impartial so have decorated both sides....
I was originally planning on getting to Rangitaiki for friday night but am keeping an open mind in case I have been overly keen about time and distances achieved. I've got a room booked at Rangitaiki but if I need to I,m sure I can donate it to someone else. I will have a look at my timing and see if I can catch you at Taihape.

Me thinks i not come, crashed twice last time i did this ride, bloody good fun it was too! even the crashes!

But got no bike at the moment!

The 1200GSA still had not parked in the garage.... Come on LOTTO..!!!

Yes, I will be there, good news for me...

The KTM is still off the road so I will be bringing the trail orientated machine, my Husaberg. The Husaberg that is still running and running sweetly I may add...

fingers and toes crossed...(Anyone wanna make an offer to buy it that weekend, I may be persuaded...

I will be leaving in the wee hours from Te Aroha Saturday morning.
I will aim to be with you all before 8am at Rangitaiki pub...

This is the one on the right, correct? (heading to Napier from Taupo) before the Tarawera pub? Couple of small white huts outside on the lawn...?
Looking forward to seeing you all again and riding some new terrain.

I guess I will be leaving at about 0500 or so, if anyone leaving from Hammy or close to me, then lets hook up. We will be warmer travelling in a bunch....

Yep. If all you find when you get there is a bunch of frost covered bikes & a few empty whisky bottles lying around - bang loudly on the side of said huts

I rode to work yesterday with my ski gloves on. It was cold, foggy and by the time I had ridden 40 minutes my hands and in particular my fingers were very sore.
I got to the coffee shop, went into the toilets and put on the hot tap...

What a dumbass....

Prize idiot....
I spent the next fifteen minutes howling in pain outside the shop doing a Jackson moonwalk and Beegees staying alive impersonation until I could extract my EFTPOS card to pay.....

I am going to get some of those farmers mittens for the bike, they seem the best idea, take them off when the weather clears, the hands not only stay warm, they stay dry.
RD1 has them for the soft cock farmers and riders amongst us, AND I don't mind being labelled such, it frikkin hurts and ruins my day...

The big plus is that you can still access everything with thinner gloves on, although I won't be able to use the GPS with these on, but it will only be for a hour or so, hopefully, the fog, snow, rain or whatever is thrown at me has been ridden through and is behind me...
