I like that idea of the KB flag thingie as well. But how would you stop the flag getting stolen by Joe Public? It needs to be hidden somewhere.
Geocaching follow a similar principle but on a worldwide scale, they use "travel bugs" and "geo coins" instead which are a lot smaller and easier to hide than a flag.
As for the actual boundaries of the current game:
I reckon limit it at the Otaki township up the coast and perhaps Greytown, Martinborough in the Wairarapa.
There are quite a few KB'ers up the coast and there seem to be a handfull at least on the Rapa side of the hill.
Could make for a couple of nice trips over the hills in the weekends.
Bring it up to the coast and you have another contender herebeen watching this with interest guys, looks and sounds like fun.
Do we ban remote uploading of getting a tag?Upload photos(of getting tags!) from home and public places only,ie libraries and internet cafes. If you are posting a new tag then remote is fine?
Sounds fair to me. But it's not really something you can check/enforce, it'll just have to be by honour.
Thats right, it will just be an honour thing, but those who enjoy the game will be likely to support fairplay.....![]()
OK, I'm discussing it in THIS thread. I understand the concerns about remote posting, but I reckon we may be in danger of introducing too many rules to the game.
I don't think we need to try too hard to create a level playing field since we all probably have our own advantages. Like local knowledge, a bike that runs, lack of sanity etc.
Perhaps we just keep an eye on things - let's not pretend we don't watch the tag thread like hawks - cause for the moment it appears to be self moderating. Less is more.
