It took us a bit to work it out. I knew where the old Cornish pump house was from the last time I had been over at the mining centre. I thought there would be a road and parking up there, but when we found just a walking track I thought "Oh well, if Jenral can get up there we can too!". Mind you, it was during the day so we scared a few people away into the bushes when they heard us coming up the hill
Rain & showers weren't too bad. It was extremely windy around Te Aroha, riding with a 20 degree lean on just to keep in a straight line was fun
