    Gear Insurance

Are there any companies that insure your gear as well as your bike? Anyone that would insure gear for replacement or an agreed value?

I just went into AMI to insure my bike and asked about having my gear insured. They said my only option would be to get contents insurance

Any household contents insurance will cover your gear...

Oh yea.. and I'm under 25 and on my learners. I just tried to look at STAR but they don't insure under 25's.

Kiwibike do gear cover, I think it was $100 a year, but check with your home and/or contents insurance company and see if it's covered

I had a look at Kiwibike but my excess was going to be $1000. Id rather pay a bit more and have little/no excess... probably wishful thinking though.
