Tow truck needed hamilton to auckland for car

My fathers car has crapped itself in hamilton we had a crack at fixing it tonight has fuel and spark but the injectors arn't activating so we suspect cooked computer...

anyway long story short its in hamilton and needs to be bought up to east auckland, and although my corona is mighty it isn't going to pull a 93 mitsi GTO behind it...

Anybody work for a towie that can do it tommorrow? or anybody know of a towie that wont charge through the ass? it's got business vehicle insurance and the insurance company have said they wont cover the tow or send out a roadside service vehicle (what the f**k)

anybody able to help/ point towards a good towie?

K & N in tahuna . Or Carr & Haslam in Mt Wellington for the car carrier.
I would suggest you get the car sorted in Hamilton rather than bring it back to Auckland, they do have mechanic's there that can fix it in the morning.

Depending on the year of the car, the spark will be timed from the ECU so if its got spark then the ECU is probably all good.

Check the plugs into the ECU, remove and re-seat them. Check the fuses in the engine bay and cabin.

You're sure the fuel rail is coming up to pressure? There could be fuel in it but the pump is in the process of dying and can't hold high enough pressure?

Checked all of that andstill couldnt get her to go, theres so much fuel pressure in the injectors that when we undid the end to check it and cranked it, fuel sprayed the side of the house 2 metres away so no worries there lol.

havn't unplugged the ecu and plugged it back in yet but have checked fuses in engine bay and driver foot well and all seem to be fine...

bah this is why i like bikes, cars are fukn complicated...and i'm nonner to smetermernuff.

Sounds like the fuel pressure is all good, just nobody light a smoke

Is the coil driven from points or the ECU? Not that I'm really sure what this would tell you, if they're points then your ECU may be completely buggered, if they're from the ECU then it may only be partially buggered?

Ahh Mitsi's techno toy. Could be anything from a blown ECU fuse (which has blown for a reason) to simply the fuel pump failing. Good luck!
