Hey quick question, is macna gear to size? Like if im a size 12 and buy medium pants will they fit well??
I have
FFM helmet
1 pair of leather jeans style pants (real comfy) but no armour
oxford boots, dry and comfy!!!
leather jacket
leather gloves
and now the proud owner of spyke 2 piece race leathers
There is never enough pockets, and I agree with others I dont like frills, pink or tassles![]()
Gotta be Quasi stuff all the way - totally sexy hot and the gear isn't bad either mwahahahahahaha
Burn the rubber not your soul baby!
Helmets - AGV S4 and Stealth
Jackets - Shift MI, AGV Sport, Ducati branded jacket - all leather
Pants - Qmoto and Rev'it GT/Pulse
Boots - Alpinestars
Gloves - Sidi,Clover,Shift,R-jays, and some german gloves???
The Misses -
AGV Stealth,
Rev'it Jacket and pants.... looks hot
R-jays - Sidi gloves
Diadora boots
DUCATI ------- A real bike in a sea of shit!
Lid...........HJC: CL-14Y (I was told Y stood for youth)
Jackets....winter: Dririder/Alpine ---xs
winter/summer: RST -- 8 (removable thermal liner) Don't know style. Love it, warm as
Gloves.....RJays: -- L (but I have small hands & they're a good fit)
Liners......Rjays: work ok (not thermals)
Pants......RJays: Explorer II textiles -- xs (still too big - I can take them off
without undoing the zip) Removeable thermal/water-
resistant liner.
But not game incase they fall down when walking around. Aaah!
Wet Weather Pants....Belfast: old pr of waxcottons (good in the snow lol)
Boots......Sidi B2: -- mens size 7 (I'm size 7 womens) brilliant/love them
.............Apinestars: motocross (think tech6?) -- mens 7 dead sexy
My only gripe is the RJays textile - I look like the evil Telly Tubby when all geared up
& I slip on the bike seat
Yes, the shat my pants look is not a girls best friend.
Anyone got leather pants that are functional & 'girly'
All my stuff with the exception of my jeans are men's stuff- have found it hard to find affordable women's gear that fits!
Quasimoto Sliderz jeans- size 12 (awesome, got on trademe)
Rev-It waterproof pants- size L
R-Jays Trakka jacket- size L
R-Jays Urban boots.
I had an Ixon jacket that I grew too small for, and my Ixon pants are now also too big and I ripped the waterproof lining in themThe Hein Gericke pants I had tore all the way down the inner thigh after a dirt-bike and I had a disagreement with gravity...
It hacks me off that all women's gear seems to have a premium attached to it. I was also stunned that I'm too big for the Ixon XXL sizing here. WTF?
has developed a love of big fours. WTF!
Helmet - a 2nd hand open face helmet. Can't tell brand since it was worn off when the last owner had an off
Jacket - winter coat from Hallensteins
Pants - standard jeans with PVC overpants for extra protection (if its wet / cold)
Gloves - knitted by mum with pure wool to keep warm
Shoes / boots - gumboots for waterproofing, otherwise jandals if in summer and its too hot

I have a tecknic 2 piece for the road which fits like a glove and makes me look like a chick.
XXS Shoei XR1000 and Raid II
Gloves courtesy of Quasi, I have the smallest hands around and comfortably fit his smalls!
Boots: Sidi B2's size 37 (i'm a womens 4/5) and Vertebra's same size, admitadely i brought the B2's in the USA and verts in the UK but ebay is your friendi landed them way cheaper than any store quoted me and they said it would be months to order them in.
Race 1 piece again Courtesy of Quasi, custom of course so it fits, but he gives us lovely KBer's a good price and he's great to deal with.
I thought i would really struggle being the size i am to get good gear, but a bit of shopping and its all possible, only thing i can say is you are worth every penny spent on good gear if you crash, i invite anyone to come see my gloves/leathers/boots/helmet and i wouldnt have spent a cent less after coming away with as little damage as i did after the last round of racing. One thing i have noticed is the lack of protection on people's feet, my sidi's have armour all over them, sides and right up the back, if it wasnt for this i would have a seriously crushed ankle right now and i do urge you guys to spend a little more and get the good boots.
just my 2c worth![]()
Taking it to the track thanks to: KIWIBIKE INSURANCE & PIRELLI TYRES, EXPERIENCE MOTORCYCLES, EBC Brakes, SUPERSPROX Sprockets, TSUBAKI Chains, RST Leathers, REPSOL Oils, FutureGrafix, Autolink
The B2's are real popular here, too. It seems every other person has a pr.
I got mine as exdisplay stock, so only cost $200. Which is good here.
My Alpinestars are new for $180, from a Cash Converters store (pawnbrokers).
So, yeah, shop around & haggle - play stores off against each other - I can always get $20-40 off a $120 item.
If anyone wants help getting gear sent over from here, happy to help, but you guys might have more range then us![]()
I went to Celtic leathers & got my gear made to fit me, excellent! Got sick of the shop stuff's poor fit. I wouldn't buy off the rack again.
Helmet is Arai, found out I am hard to fit for a helmet too.
Lots of shop stuff to get rid of, if anyone starting out needs some gear.
Helmets - HFC used to love it now it feels soo heavy compared to the Shoei XR1000 Patriot which I adoreThe anti-fog visor is the business
BXS leather trousers - made to measure for somebody else got £40 from UK. Nothing beats then BKS full suit £600-1200 in UK. These are ex-cops and often come up on ebay. well worth shipping.Rarely leak in the rain and removable lining, can get thermal liner too.
Triumph Retro jacket - love itOnly down side is the lack of aluminium liner that comes for the guys jackets but I wear it all year and with a chill out underneath rarely get cold.
Gloves - Revit h20- had mens xs but the thumb was very short and made my thumb joint ache on long rides so got ladies fit and that sorted it.
Triumph gloves (of course) lighter so not ideal for long cold rides.
Revit boots - just got them and so far very impressed. Look great, comfortable and haven't leaked: ieven though it was foul in Palmie this evening. Slim fit which is important as I have long feet but narrow 43 and many boots for men and really wide.
Spidi Cordura jacket - colour co-ord for the Honda otherwise rarely sees the road now. Is a good jacket, warm and confortable but a bit short in the arms and tight on hips with the leathers ( my ass too big and jacket mans so not flared over the child-bearing hips) this pushes back armour up and can be uncomfortable.
Revit jacket - never wear it, nice long arms, black and silver. Needs a home. Find it a little restrictive and just doesn't have the aah feeling of the Triumph jacket.
Gave mate the revit pants because she did me a huge favour and lent me car to rescue the Daytona from the bottom of the Rimutakas and I love the BKS too much to wear anything else. Look sexy and very comfortable.
Do like the new Revit cordura jackets tho .... must stay out of the bike shop
Sucker for Triumph stuff but hassled rep about getting stuff that looks sexy and is functional. When will they get that the emerging market is babes who wanna ride bikes as well as look good on the back![]()
