I cant really answer that 1 fully Bill but for the 3 yrs I have been with the Club its always been a Winter Series. The PMCC run the Summer Series on the North Island.
Historically the club found that they couldn't get enough track time in summer and therefore ran a winter series ... in summer as you can imagine there is a hell of a lot of demand and getting track time was almost impossible each month. In doing the winter series, there are still times where getting the track can be difficult, but the winter series is a well ingrained part of motorcycle sport in New Zealand now as well.
Life is a gift that we have all been given. Live life to the full and ensure that you have absolutely no
regrets.
