    Bikers down, Kawhia. Oh Shit!

Listening to the 12 O'clock news and hear that biker and Pillon went down "Oh Shit hope they OK" then hear that they in Stable condition"cool"

Then Hear they were NOT!! wearinmg Helmets.... "Fucking Wanker's"

things like that piss me off as it reflects on the rest of us when they do the stats and up the ACC levies

what do you think when hear about things like this?

    Two injured in motorbike crash
    New 11:33AM Monday Jul 27, 2009

A man and a woman are in a stable condition in Waikato Hospital after a motorbike crash near the Waikato township of Kawhia last night.

Police Constable Jason Hughes said the pair had been drinking locally before they took to the road about 8pm.

They were not wearing helmets when they lost control on a bend on Te Puia Rd.

The bike crashed into a fence and the couple were thrown clear.

The 43-year-old rider suffered upper back injuries, and his 24-year-old female passenger neck injuries.

The Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance, which normally carries only carry one patient, was required to transport both casualties because of the seriousness of their injuries, paramedics said.

"Stable" just means their condition is not changing. It doesn't necessarily mean minor injuries.

    I hope they recover well.

Until information about culpability/stupidity/rider error burbles into the mix, at which stage they will be roundly condemned for

    • Driving up ACC costs for the rest of us bikers
    • Giving the rest of us bikers a bad name
    • Not wearing ATGATT

Probably had more to do with the drink than the riding apparel.

When you come off your bike, it is a natural instinct to protect your head and to sacrifice other parts of your body.

These guys didn't have the luxury of being able to choose.

A better decision would be to let you helmet take the major hit, as it is designed to protect you.

    Easier said than done though!

na man that's probably why they crashed,

they were trying so hard to be accepted by KB that they waved but lost control only to be condemned for crashing, oh the irony
