i would say a cross between the two
MX would most certainly be an advantage, but you have to have road experience too - so they both get my vote![]()
the MX rider would probably know way more about suspension and would be less afraid of getting a little loose.
additionally i reckon they'd be more likely to take odd lines to pass and would probably make the better racer.
thinking of the top guys i've known in NZ over the years; most either came from MX or rode MX at the same time
Schumacher seems to be able to ride a bike very well....has won some races.Kimi does a bit of MX for training.
Damon Hill went from bikes racing to F1,so did Hailwood. And of course John Surtees is the only person to win both motorcycle and F1 championships.Plenty of others if you do the reshearch.
Just found out that John Surtees son was killed an a F2 race at the weekend...he was 18.

A bike rider would struggle at first with the high g forces, but once the neck strenghened up they would be fine as Rossi has proved testing the Ferrari
so if i did MX and got good, i would smoke ya all?
I thought you could anyway - or are you admitting you are slow?
