North Cape to Bluff OFF-Road

I been reading all this stuff about a cycle way, the full length of NZ.
Got me thinking. It would not it be a silly idea to have an off road track for off road motor bikes the full length of NZ.
What a tourist attraction, bikers would come from all over the world.
It would not need an expensively prepared track like a cycle way, it could start with 70km ride down 90 mile beach, blast across some waste land down through woodhill forest, incorporate forest trails in Kaingaroa, across the desert road trails, take tent & a back pack, mate I could keep going and going. Imagine the South Island tracks that the mainlanders could build ... beautiful

Me too would change to ktm 525 or wr 450f though. Thought about having one of these last year so could make it road legal but reckon to much ...humph... for me on the trail race tracks. I'd probably fal off more than I do know LOL!
