    You want a serious comment.

I have seen both deplorable and exemplary behavior from riders on all types of bikes - from sportsbikes to choppers. Hate the player, not the game.

The debate is a paraphrase of George Carlin's line about driving. 'Everyone going slower than you is an idiot, everyone going faster than you is an asshole.

Seems to me that you've got more of a problem with 'sprotsbike' riders than they have with HD's lol. Who really gives a flying fuck what you choose to ride. And if someone decides to judge someone solely by the bike they ride then their opinion isn't worth shit.

Get over it all and enjoy the ride. Fuck me, life is too short for this wah wah wah shit.

Oh yeah, I bit. Just because I hate sterotypes and people who push them.

I bought a HD because it suited me and my riding style - ok I am short and slow. I have been on KB for a few weeks now and just dont get the anti-harley thing that seems to be going on.

Would someone please give me a logical debate as to why the negativity?
Its inverted backlash to generations of JAP CRAP bashing from the leaking oil brigade of the 70s and 80s. Do you have any idea how hard it was working on "Club members" bikes at a Harley Davidson shop monday to friday while riding to work on a Yamaha FZR750 and racing one in the weekends as well??? No wonder i have an identity crisis...

But lets face it mostly it is just said in fun these days, the real hardcore attitudes have mostly gone even amongst the "club" scene. Lots of them now ride Aprilla or KTM or such as well as Vrods and "normal" HDs.

I get to ride so many different bikes there is fun in all of them, even a scooter can be a good laugh if you let it...

These made me laugh out loud!!

What do you call a group of Harley Owners with a collective IQ of 120?
    Sturgis !

What's the difference between a Harley Davidson and a Hoover vacuum cleaner?
The Harley has room for two dirtbags on board.

Why do Harley owners have tassels on their handlebars and clothing?
To be able to tell if they're moving or not !

How is a Harley Davidson like an old dog?
They both like to ride in the back of pickup trucks.

What is the difference between a Harley Davidson and an old dog?
The dog can get in the back of the pickup by itself.

How is a Harley Davidson like a Porcupine?
Both have pricks on their back.

How is a Harley Davidson like an old dog?
If you leave them alone long enough, they'll both mark their territory.

I have no personal thing against any rider - you're out there doing it..... isn't that all that matters??

But.... when you are not allowed to ride with certain clubs, because you own a jap bike (and I've now found out that HD's are full of jap parts ), and they don't consider lifting their hand to give you a polite wave, it really is no wonder why attitudes are out there.

They have HOG rallies - do other brands of motorcycles go? NO, of course not - you'd be laughed at. We have rallies, and don't care who comes along. The more the merrier

So all in all, I think the attitude of HD riders stem from many years ago.

We're all riders out having fun, and I talk and ride with everyone I meet, regardless of who owns what
