    Boots with grip?

Every time I go to ride some of the more “extreme tracks” I find that if I get off the bike to help pull other bikes up I can hardly stand, so was thinking of getting some boots with some tread like and ATV boot? Recommendations Have got some tech 7’s at the moment.

Also what are the dangers of having a boot with grip compared to a flat boot like most Motocross boots?

It's more that a boot with tread doesn't slide across the surface when you're foot out sliding mate...most enduro orientated boots have tread!

I could be well wrong (it's happened many times before)...but think you'll find your tech 7's have a moto-x sole on them mate. And enduro boot sole is much like a work boot type sole...think knobly ture. A moto-x sole normally has 'plates' that are desigened to slide over things...but offer a lil grip if you're trying to walk.

    Check

Alpinestars site out...and have a look at the tech 3 all terrain boot...you can just see the sole profile...tread...grip! Tech 7 = flat moto-x sole.

But not sure how safe it would be to ride a 2 wheeler in something with so much grip? Suppose it may be ok on the slow going stuff.

Like most things involving motorcycles mate...everything is always a bit of a compromise! The boots you've got are no good for grip on slippery hills etc...but great for sliding your foot across the ground...the others the opp!

Maybe you need two pairs of boots!

most of the off road boots sold now are flat sold, you have to go to a trails type boot or an ATV boot for the chunky sole, Gearne do a good trails boot but it will not have the ankle protection of a tech 7,
most of the ATV boots sold are of the lower end, (tech 3's as an example but both thor and fly do a atv boot as part of there range).

as Pete (crasher) puts above, it will be a compromise to get something that gives you traction when walking,
