    Sunday muddy Sunday

well, a few of us headed out early sunday morning into the coromandel ranges after heavy rain and survived a few treacherous rutty, crevasse-ridden clay and rock slides that can only be described as f**kin extreeeeme !!!!
In between dodging kamikaze riders on homo chariots, dragging bikes under fallen trees , leaking petrol, giant bogs and crevasses that would swallow bike and rider whole, we managed a solid days riding- finally getting back to base at 8pm with police waiting and search and rescue not far away.
Myself and daff having the only 2 lights for 6 riders making it interesting for the journey out as you may imagine.
Here's a helmetcam clip of our daytime adventures before things got real interesting-thanks to the lads jt, xen, daff, hondapower and vazza for the great teamwork that was required to see out the day.

Yeah cheeers for the light man I would've been off a bank without it lol.

Was an epic ride with some hills so slippery we had to get the tow rope out and all 6 of us helping to get each bike up. 10 hour ride not bad

Daf next time give us some warning when we're going to be doing one of your night rides

Was an epic ride. Good meeting all the dudes! Had some great team building in there hahah! was starting to get abit edgy when it got dark.. Was pretty intense trying to do fairly gnarly hill climbs in the complete dark, trying to follow the ruts with the light from the dudes bike in front of you..

What I dont get is that I started off with a completely full tank, possibly leaked out at least a litre from the carb(managed to fix itself).. and still managed to ride all day without any extra gas? I was on reserve for at least 2 hours lol. How is that possible.. 10 hours of hillclimbing etc lol.. weird.

Was so glad to see the van when we got back haha.. I practically leapt in and turn the heater on full blast!

Yeah I thought the wires\gut buster was hard but I never had to be pulled up a mud track ever have always managed to get up by pushing and AWD but some of those hills were so extreme there was no other way to get up other than by tow line. Also, the bog holes were crazy and when the night time came that was another story.

Considering I was on a 4 banger I wasn’t far off reserve either.
