Pretty keen on a Triumph Tiger for the next bike.
Do they have any issues/probs to look out for?

The main thing to watch is that engine. It is so super smooth that you will likely find yourself going much faster than you expect. This is turn can lead to loss of weight in your wallet.
Other than that, just enjoy.![]()
Time to ride
GREAT all rounder.
So long as you accept their limits they are a good Adv bike. Not quite up to 950/990 in the rough stuff but everything else they are good.
I'm told the motors will go forever, nice smooth power, no problems with mine to date.
Unlike Iains(Crisis) 990 they don't fall on their sides at the sight of a bridge
Plenty of power, great sports tourer, and a mean sound with the right pipe
If you'd like a test ride just let me know.
I'll take offers over $11k.......![]()

Which Tiger are you considering?
Tigers are a little too heavy to be proper adventure bikes, but are quite easy to handle.
I have a 1050, but I found the 955 was better off road (it could just have been the road). The 1050 is however heaps more powerful on the road. It's down to personal preference and the type of riding you will be doing.

Yep, you wouldn't want to do any serious off roading on the 1050. It's a lovely machine but not quite up for too much gravel. Mind you, mine dealt to the Gentle Annie quite well, but it was hard work.
It's only Rock and Roll but I like it

icekiwi, we have 2 of them in our Wanaka Motorcycle club and both love them, by all accounts, a bike you can sit on all day.
Only thing I would say is they are not made for shorties.
