At Auckland international airport you have to pay for parking, but if your vehicle can fit between bollards (hint: anything on two wheels will, and unless there have been changes an MG Midget will squeeze through a certain spot as well) then it is rather easy to bypass this requirement.

I've heard this also applies to the covered park as well at Auckland International. I notice the camera's but none of the riders who do that ever mention follow up.
It's quite nice getting long term covered parking so close.

I asked the parking guys at auckland airport. They know that you can drive out of there without paying and told me that is was fine by them.

I've parked undercover at Welly several times for naught. Just make sure i don't use up a car space. I checked the first time and they said it was OK. Gave them a slightly lethal English beer after and they still let me in
