Although, if you use the banking right, you barely need to brake at all, just to scrub some speed, I think that was what you were aiming at eh Sinfull?
    and what would you know...crash?

Thanks Jay, Yeah Pretty much ! Words used were slightly different, but i took em to mean, if ya get the apex's right you could do it all under engine braking !

Would hate to put anyone crook and have em say "you said it could be done" ! Cause i sure as hell cant do it lol Sure as hell like to be able to !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Hey guys some very good info in there thanks.
Just trying to get a vision in my head before the trip.
Obviously wanna be there early enough to walk track.............. with the notes given from you guys.
Might even be there early enough on fri to have a walk round and a chat.

At least my bike is easy to see ( orange like the saftey vests..........so you can all avoid me wobbling round to start with)

Friday is a test day organised by Manfield. $100. Check out their web site.
I haven't raced there for 15 years, so I'm gonna do the test day.

Good thread, 'cause I'm fooked if I can figure out the sweeper.

Swerve, see if you can get there earlier on the Friday and join in the test day. It could prove very valuable.

Would love to do the test day...............however i like most of you is just a mere mortal who only has so many days holiday a year.
And it all gets taken up with bike racing one way or another.
Just have to keep buying that yellow ticket i guess

Me and all, but I know that the tyre wall comes up FAST when you "fail to negotiate the bend" as they say in crash reports. And that is at the paltry speed I managed to attain coming off the extension. I would not like to see one of the fast guys loose it there at the speeds they are doing, they would hit those tyre REALLY hard !!!

Mate, I have seen one Greg Murphy hit that wall... well actually fly over it full noise on reverse track... In a Formula Atlantic car
It was very quiet for what seemed like half an hour before Greg came out of the trees and waved to the crowd....
We all thought the worst... and looking at the tree the car brushed... he was very lucky.

Now, back to bikes... Yup Bugger hitting those tyres at full steam.
Maybe Manfeild could be upgraded with an air fence or two??
