My diesel is a road bike with 8,000km service intervals and hydraulic, self adjusting valves mean that a dealer service is around $250.
There is no scheduled maintenance between services either.
No chain to adjust, nothing. Just check oil and ride it.
The engine is also excellent for road use. It develops most of its highly usable torque and power at licence keeping speeds and is one of the best 'fun' engines in any road bike - ever.
It doesn't do 300kph or have 180 horsepower. Big fuckin' whoop.
Range is around 250km and 50 on reserve. Any bike overflows if you ain't bright enough to stop putting fuel in it.
Next.
i would agree with them....
Really?
I have never had a problem eating buells on the K1 GSXR
Now if i had the ducati streetfighter (i know its a bit unfair) i know that it goes, brakes, and handles better than the CR, but a very long way.
but its 10k more....![]()

I rest my case.
I've had it back since April.
And I lost it for not going fast enough, you might recall.
Ladies and gentlemen, when you're out riding on a suspended licence and see a cop in traffic, filter past quickly.
Do not loiter law-abidingly in his sight, lest your guilty conscience be manifest (motorcyclists with clear consciences never loiter law-abidingly, apparently) and an arrest be forthcoming.

I was out riding while suspended, and was arrested after being observed not lane splitting. Obviously a guilty conscience, you see, and worth investigating. The cops aren't as dumb as they're cabbage-lookin'.
I'm not sure if it makes it worse or better that 80 of the points I was suspended for were garnered in the Camry.

Murphy prevails. There are some times when I can't be arsed lane splitting too.
