The Dorsoduro is more than 170 kgs though, right? (I haven't gone to have a look because I couldn't afford it anyway, and I'd like to remain satisfied with my measly Husky 610sm.)

Hmmm, Bikez.com (dunno how reliable they are...) says 186 kgs... that's fairly obese as far as a moto goes. I guess it won't be an issue unless you take it into the rough so to speak.

Don't get me wrong, I would quite simply love to have a "light" supermoto with a 750 ccm V-twin...

In 'normal' use it's irrelevant anyway. Height of COM and balance are more important.

Indeed, irrelevant until you have to push it uphill for 25 meters because you can't gain traction

(And yes, I know, it's a motard not a dirtbike... but adventure and all that...)

My Buell weighs 195. It's an interesting comparison. I really like the Aprila - and it makes the Buell look good too.

The XB12X does a lot of the stuff the motard does quite well - not as wicked fast, but strong enough, plus it's comfortable, takes a passenger and has good touring potential.

The weight isn't a problem to me.

They all have road tyres - if you iz dumb enough to try and hard case ADV ride on non-knobbys you probably deserve to be pushing it. :-P

No word - but then I haven't asked.

I'd be interested in the bigger 'ergos', but it doesn't really need any more chutzpah for road use.

Not for a road bike in the current policing regime. It just becomes a frustration of wasted potential. I have the most fun solo on 60-70hp bikes on the road.

You can pin the throttle and ride the thing instead of just idling everywhere like a big pussy.
