Don't break it Dave. You won't be able to get any parts for it.

That Aprilia 750 is pretty sweet, eh?

That's the beauty of it - didn't come close to stressing it. It's a 750 BMX.

Yep - nice donk indeedy. Very even. Modes are nice although I have trouble taking it out of 'sick'.

What are the service costs like?

I had my first "big" service on Friday. 20,000km service intervals on these 750s. That's an estimated 20,000km, given that the speedo has been intermittent since March. Plugs, air and oil filter, oil, sundries and labour worked out to about $420. At least filters are available...

I only use the S mode on mine.

Yes. The R (rain) mode flattens it out. It would be a good mode for an inexperienced rider riding the Shiver/Dorso for the first time. T (touring) perks it up a bit and S (sport) is quite edgy and very responsive to the ride-by-wire throttle. Fuel economy in T and S is more or less the same, unless one is caning it, which one does do on occasion.

Did you get the front up on the throttle, Dave, or did you clutch it up? One understands that the Shiver's front can be popped at about 7,000rpm in first.
